WHAT'S HAPPENING IN 2018?

Good Neighbors of Park Slope is an all-volunteer, member-driven organization. All events and activities come from YOU, the members. Please check ACTIVITIES OVERVIEW page of our website to sign up to be put on MAILING LISTS for specific interests.
If you would like to help create a group/activity/event,
please contact andi.gnps@gmail.com and we can help make it happen.

Groups only happen if members initiate!

NEW AND INTERESTING...

SNOW SHOVELING PROBLEM
Unfortunately our very clever plan for shoveling the snow in front of our homes this winter did not work out
SO HERE IS A NEW IDEA:
If you have the NAME and CONTACT INFORMATION of someone who has
done a good job shoveling for you,
send it in to SNOW . We will create a list of those people who are recommended by our members so that other members
will be able to find someone to call when they need someone to shovel for them.
The link to the list is here SNOW SHOVELERS .
This link will be found on the HOME PAGE of the GNPS website throughout the winter season.
Please let us know how this is working for you.

DON'T FORGET: GNPS SHARE & SUPPORT PROGRAM
IS STARTING IN MARCH!

We really need volunteers for our new Share & Support program.
Help us build what we hope will become a neighborhood institution.
Become a VOLUNTEER in this new program which will offer services
to our members. Help your friends and neighbors when they need it,
and get help for yourself when you need it!

Click SHARE & SUPPORT for more information and a volunteer application.

A NEW CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP IS FORMING

This is a group of up to 8 GNPS members who come together to help each other by informally sharing their experiences and feelings as caregivers for someone who is important to them. Information is exchanged regarding the help that may be available in various situations as well as the opportunity to express emotional and practical problems in the caregivers' daily lives. This has been a helpful and rewarding experience for group members as it has given a chance to offset the often lonely life of caregiving. The group creates an atmosphere of acceptance and optimism, which is often needed in dealing with the daily and long term burdens of being a care giver. If you are interested, please contact Dick Nininger for further information.
