Simple movements repeated again and again and again to build balance and strength. Slow moving and repetitive, can also be done sitting. Class is approximately 60 minutes, twice a week, for 8 weeks, with a little time to say hello at the beginning and answer questions after. Each class will build on the movements of the previous class. Dr. Lam’s research shows that the health benefits and improvements to balance begin to kick in after 16 consecutive classes, another reason to be patient and stick with it. As space is very limited, we request that you be willing to commit to the full series. As each session builds on the previous session, we cannot have people starting after the class begins January 12. Classes will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 - 10:00 from Jan 12-March 4 Wear comfortable clothes and if possible, thin soled sneakers. Dr Lam has several videos on the web if you want more information. Most of all, have fun and enjoy! This class will be led by GNPS member Barbara Kaminsky. Barbara is trained to lead this class and has led other classes for Good Neighbors in the past, most recently a yoga class in the spring.
