Ron Gold's successful Wall Street career was cut short when a drowsy driver barrelled into him while bicycling 11 years ago. The catastrophic accident crushed his spine paralyzing and nearly killing him. As someone who could no longer live fully independently, he became frustrated with existing home care options. To address the shortcoming in the market, Ron, his wife Betsy, and Denise created a marketplace that allows families to find, employ and manage experienced caregivers -- with LeanOnWe's handholding.
Denise Kuhbier's 30-year care in home care has spanned leadership positions in assisted living, nursing homes, and traditional home care agencies. She brings all this experience, as well as her years in clinical care as an RN, to LeanOnWe. Denise has earned multiple designations, including Certified Case Manager, Aging Life Care Professional, and Nursing Home Administrator. She is on the board of the Hudson Valley Alzheimer's chapter.
