Senior Women's Sexuality Group. First meeting Friday, Feb 3 at 10:30 am. I began to be interested in this group when I became aware of positive aspects of myself as a senior sexual being. I’ve become aware of how the life force of sexual energy can be a supportive influence in my life as a senior. For me, tapping into this is not necessarily about the sexual act, although it could be. It is more about becoming fully alive, whether I’m with a partner or not.
As I’ve tossed this idea for a group around with other women. I became aware of many more dimensions that this topic. could bring for senior women.
During the first session, women will have an opportunity to say why they were interested in the group, as well offering thoughts about what they wanted to get out of the group. A person will always have the choice to pass, if one is not ready to speak. The following sessions can arise out of this discussion. The last 5-8 minutes of our time can be used to set a direction for the next meeting. Some possibilities include continuing questions that may have come up as we listen and speak. I’m hoping that everyone will invite the values of respect and kindness into the group as each person participates.
Up to 12 senior women are invited to join. The group will meet once a month on the first Friday of the month from 10:30- 11:30am, with the first session starting Friday, Feb. 3, 2023.
