A Stroll Down Beautiful and Historic East 69th Street
Guided tour down East 69th St between 1st and 2nd Avenues,
with GNPS member and longstanding resident,
Jacquelyn Ottman.
Take in landmarked brownstones and tenements that millions of Eastern Europeans
called home in the late Nineteenth Century.
Tour inside the landmarked Hungarian Reformed Church,
one of Emory Roth's rare ecclesiastical works.
Hear stories of celebrated local residents, past and present and just have fun
taking in this incredibly preserved microcosm of
hundreds of years of Upper East Side and NYC history.
Rain or shine. Registration required.
Activity Level: The tour involves walking up and down two sides of just one block.
The block is steps away from the exit to the 69th Street exit of the 72nd St stop of Q train
Optional lunch in local eatery afterwards.
