for a private tour of
Museum at Eldridge Street
(this is a repeat of the May 31 tour)
Visit the Museum at Eldridge Street and explore a meticulously restored synagogue built in 1887 – the first of its kind in the United States – and its dynamic Lower East Side neighborhood in New York City. Hear stories about Jewish immigrant life, explore architecture and historic preservation, and immerse yourself in one of the cultural epicenters of the country.
Preservation & Restoration Tour
Traverse the building’s lavish Moorish interior, learn about its 20-year and $20 million restoration and marvel at a monumental contemporary stained-glass window designed by acclaimed artist Kiki Smith and architect Deborah Gans.
This is a one hour tour of the building
followed by lunch.
Proof of vaccinations required.
Masks must be worn at all times.
We will meet at the museum at 11:15
Each person will pay for his/her own lunch.
Please bring cash.
Tour is limited to 10 people.
This tour is a repeat of May 31 tour.
