Tour of BAM - Part 2
This will be a tour of 2 theaters, The Harvey and the Fisher, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
It is not a repeat of first tour, but a continuation to explore additional buildings
In November, we had a tour of the Opera House and received great feedback.
Louie Fleck, Senior Archives Manager, led the tour and he was very informative and
had great stories of events and history of BAM.
The Harvey Theater was originally the Majestic Theater, built in 1904 as place for
musical and vaudeville shows.
The Fisher was built in 2012 and has won many awards for its architecture as
21st century arts center.
We are asking people to bring $10 as a voluntary contribution that will be collected by Mark Elias and donated to BAM. Please bring cash.
After the tour, we will probably go to a local restaurant near BAM if you want to join us. More details on that as we get closer to the March 3 date.
