If you have enjoyed any of Gilbert and Sullivan's operettas, you might want to explore
the wit and wisdom of William S. Gilbert's librettos in detail.
Gilbert was one of the most brilliant wordsmiths of the English language in the 19th century,
being compared to Shakespeare in the quotability of his words.
In addition he was a journalist, poet, lawyer, soldier, dramatist, and actor.
The class will read and discuss Gilbert's librettos (online or in print),
view selected excerpts of performances of G&S songs,
and learn of his contribution to the English language musical theater.

ARTISTS CRITIQUE GROUP

People who make art often feel that they benefit from having a community of fellow art-makers
to offer feedback and support for their artistic pursuits.  While this has not necessarily
ever been an easy thing to access, it has certainly gotten more difficult over the past two years.

GNPS has a sizable group of members who create art and have in the past been i
nvolved in developing opportunities to show their art.  Would you be interested in
joining a small group of members who would meet on a regular basis
to offer critique, support and feedback for artwork created by group members?
