Meet in Manhattan at Think Coffee, 73 Eighth Ave. betw 13th & 14th Streets

We will walk over together from there.

Opened in May 2021, Little Island was designed to create a sense of escape from Manhattan. Near the Whitney Museum and the Meatpacking District at West 13th Street and the Hudson River, Little Island is a park built out over the water on 132 concrete columns. Enjoy the views over the river including all the way down to One World Trade Center.  There are winding paths up and down the hills of the Island, nestled among more than 350 species of flowers, trees and shrubs. If you haven’t been yet, take this opportunity to explore this urban oasis.

This is not a tour.  We will explore the island together or on our own and meet up at a central agreed upon location. 

Lunch - you can bring your lunch or purchase something to eat at the food trucks in the central plaza on the island.

Accessibility - Little Island is fully ADA compliant. There are hills that have wide, gently inclined pathways. We will be walking at least 2 miles for the day.  There are benches throughout.

Transportation:  the closest subway is the A,C,E at 14th Street & 8th Avenue. (2 and 3 trains stop at 14th Street & 7th Ave)

There are restroom facilities at our meeting point and on the Island.
