Martha Bordman and Julie Swartzberg will present an overview of the NYC Administration attempts to move NYC retirees to Medicare Advantage plans, the downsides of Medicare Advantage, how municipal employees are fighting back and what the legal status is of the current health care plan.

Julie Schwartzberg is a founder of the Cross-union Retirees Organizing Committee. She retired from the NYC Department of Health and was Vice-President of Local 768, Health Services Employees, DC 37.
Martha Bordman is a member of the Cross-union Retirees Organizing Committee. She is a UFT retiree and taught ESL for the NYC Office of Adult and Continuing Education.
