About this event
If this event is full and you want to attend, please
check back closer to June 5 date for cancellations
Let's get outside and learn to identify trees from an expert, by the details: bark, buds, leaves and tree form.
Class will stat with an overview of identification terminology and practice outside in the field.
Join us for a gambol in Prospect Park and get to know our trees!
This is an in-person event. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Lisa Nett, our guide, hails from the tree filled state of Wisconsin. She studied forestry at UW-Madison, and the art of firewood stacking on the family dairy farm. She rolls through the city streets on a trusty Schwinn while sneaking peeks at the passing trees. Check out Lisa's tree-focused Tumblr, The Tree Seen, or follow her on Twitter, @lisa_nett.
