Join Joe Charap, Green-Wood’s Vice President of Horticulture, and Park Slope Parents Dad, for an insider’s tour of the cemetery’s exciting horticulture projects. He’ll discuss the cemetery’s native meadows, the Chapel Meadow (featuring all-star native shrubs like Virginia rose and golden St. John’s wort) and the ongoing seed mix trials at the Magnolia Avenue Experimental Meadow, new stormwater management initiatives, and recent tree plantings, which includes Southeastern U.S. species like long leaf pine and the endangered maple-leaved oak.
This is an adult-only event, not a stroller tour/toddler event. Children in carriers allowed.
Free parking available.
Meet in front of the bathrooms inside the gates at the 25th Street entrance arch. The tour will leave at 10:00am sharp, so please be there on time! The cost is $20.00 and the proceeds support Green-Wood’s Historic Fund.
All tours are weather permitting.
If the tour is cancelled due to weather, we will sign you up for another tour or credit your PSP account.
