In the 2019 Participatory Budgeting competition, Good Neighbors of Park Slope proposed that a "senior fitness area" be constructed in Prospect Park, and this item won the vote with the help of many of our GNPS members! That fitness area has finally been built, and is located just inside the 9th Street entrance to the park, next to the Harmony Playground.
PROSPECT PARK ALLIANCE HAS NOW INVITED US TO THE RIBBON-CUTTING TO CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF THIS FITNESS AREA! This will be held on FRIDAY, JULY 26TH, 9:00 AM! There will be a fitness instructor present to show how the equipment works! Please join us for the ribbon cutting and demo! Registration is not required but we recommend registration so you receive reminders and any information in case of postponement.
