Even if you missed the Jan 30 meeting, please come to the Feb 15 session if you can.
The 7th Grade teachers from MS 839 in Kensington have requested the help of GNPS members for their students community outreach program. We are looking for GNPS members who would be available both Jan 30 and Feb 15 at 10:30 am for a one hour intereview, in person at Sip and Play on 5th Ave between 10th/11th St. We prefer that you be available for both, but if you can only come to one or the other, that would be fine. The first meeting, Tuesday January 30 will be a meet-and-greet. Students will come with some icebreaker questions and other getting-to-know-you activities. We imagine this will last for about an hour, 10:30-11:30am. We'd like our students to partner up to talk to one senior. This meeting will be at Sip and Play, 471 5th Avenue, between 10th and 11th St
For the second meeting will be Thursday February 15 at the same location, at 10:30am. The students will come prepared with questions about what key ideas, events, or people influenced them. Ideally our seventh graders will have the opportunity to interview the same person, however, we welcome all.
